John Griffin
Tax Consultant
John began his career at HMRC, where he trained and worked as an Inspector of Taxes, before moving into private practice with KPMG. Over his time with the firm, he held roles across the London, Northampton, and Leicester offices, culminating in his position as Head of Tax in the Leicester practice.
Since leaving KPMG in 2008, John has worked as an independent consultant, bringing his deep technical knowledge and practical experience to a wide range of clients. He has worked closely with Trident Tax since 2011, providing expert advice across a broad spectrum of tax matters.
John specialises in corporate and personal tax advisory, including M&A transactions, business structuring, international expansion, succession and inheritance planning, and complex residence and domicile issues. He also has substantial experience in advising on legacy tax avoidance structures, such as EBTs and EFRBS, and has successfully supported many clients through HMRC settlement negotiations.
