Steve Green
Tax Director
Steve began his career at KPMG, where he qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser and gained experience across a wide range of tax disciplines, including mergers and acquisitions before specialising in tax investigations. He joined Trident Tax in 2009 and has since built a strong practice advising on both contentious and advisory matters.
With a particular focus on Code of Practice 8 and 9 cases, Steve is well regarded for his work in resolving complex HMRC investigations. Alongside this, he advises high-net-worth individuals, family businesses, and entrepreneurs on a range of private client and commercial tax matters. His areas of expertise include residence and domicile, trust restructuring, succession and inheritance tax planning, and inward investment.
Steve also plays a key role in advising on family investment companies, corporate structuring, and family office governance—bringing a commercial, long-term perspective to the strategic management of wealth. His ability to navigate both the technical and relational aspects of tax makes him a valued adviser to clients facing both planning and regulatory challenges.
