Edward Ullathorne – Senior Tax Manager
Edward has worked in tax for over 15 years, he joined Trident Tax in September 2023 following 9 years working as a Private Client specialist at KPMG acting for a variety of individuals with complex tax affairs. He previously worked at a local accountants firm where he qualified as ACCA and CTA whilst acting for doctors, farmers and family businesses based in the Midlands.
Edward has a wide variety of private client experience but frequently advises international clients on technical matters such as residency and domicile, overseas taxes and the application of double tax treaties, and the taxation of offshore structures. He also enjoys helping UK based entrepreneurs with succession and exit planning as well as whatever the clients need in addition to this. Recent work has included advising individuals in relation to their domicile status, restructuring a family business as well as advising on the tax complexities of UK residential properties – Ed’s aim is always to present a clear recommendation that can be acted on, and to do this in as brief and simple terms as possible whilst still covering all the salient points distilled from the tax analysis.
